SENIOR PROM
This was the very first time that I’d
Ever attended a senior prom dance
There was a vote for king and queen but
I didn’t think that I had much of a chance
Yet low and behold I won the election
My queen and I would rule that night
We ate drank and
danced the night away
It all seemed to be
turning out just right
All of a sudden the
town clock struck twelve
And somehow I knew
that I was in trouble
I was having a good
time and totally forgot
That darn old clock
had burst my bubble
As I said this was my
very first prom dance
I was told that I
needed to be home by ten
You see this was a
prom for senior citizens
Something that I’ll
never experience again
