PROGRESS LIFE AND DESTINY ARE IN GOD'S HANDS

PROGRESS LIFE AND DESTINY ARE IN GOD’S HANDS

Take a good look at the world today
Starting from the six days of creation
Have you ever stopped to wonder how
We’ve had such tremendous innovation

The answer is really in your faith
And not questioning how or why
If you think that’s what you’re lacking
Just take a look upward toward the sky

God controls every second of each day
Every aspect of our lives are  truly His
Yet He has chosen to share them with us
If we believe that He will be was and is

This thing called progress that God gives us
It is also something that He can take away
Yeshua our Messiah paid the ultimate price for us
In return we must exalt and Praise Him every day

One day soon He will return to the earth
To lead believers to a very special place
To abide with God our Father in His Kingdom
And thank Him for His Mercy Love and Grace

PEOPLE FROM YOUR PAST

PEOPLE FROM YOUR PAST

Have you ever thought about some Friends
Or perhaps acquaintances from the past
Where they are now or are they still alive
Or what was the reason that it didn’t last

I believe that I may know the answer
And perhaps you will agree with me
The situation is always in God’s Hands
Because the Lord controls your destiny

God know you needs and what you don’t and
That’s why people come in and out of our lives
Some of them for a moment some for a lifetime
Some even returning if the right time arrives

It’s possible that God may have thought
That this wasn’t where you needed to go
Perhaps the memory was bad or painful
It’s something that we may never know

The one thing that I’d ask if I saw them again
Is how they are and just where they’ve been
But I’d still be eternally grateful to the Lord
Because He allowed them to come back in

What I’m saying is that these many thoughts
May often wander in the portals of your mind
Remembering the past is probably a good thing
Especially if the ones you may have lost you find

A SPECIAL NOTE FROM THE POET: PLEASE READ!

Besides this week’s 2 poems which are below this. The Holy Spirit told me that it was important to pass on the following message to my viewers:

With one of God’s Commanded Festivals (Passover) approaching at the end of this month, it is important that my readers, whether they are Christian, one of the 3 major Jewish Sects, an Atheist, Agnostic or anyone else who doesn’t know or want to know about my faith.

I am a Messianic Jew. We live our lives adhering to scripture from both the Old and New Covenants.
We are Jewish and Gentile Believers, who worship Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) together the same way
that He worshipped Father God, by observing Torah, observing all of God’s Commanded Festivals and
living a Jewish lifestyle.

For the many Jewish people who view my site that say that I’m not Jewish because I worship Yeshua,
(The Hebrew Name that Jesus was given at birth) I would respond by saying that I was born a Jew, I will
die a Jew and there’s nothing they or anyone else can do to change that.

Although the Lord gives me word to pass on in verse, I am not a biblical scholar who can quote specific chapter or verse from either Testament. (Primarily because I’m visually impaired) My Poetic Ministry attempts to put them to practical use.  I will give you references to scriptures or books in the Old Testament which proves that Yeshua is the Messiah that some other Jews just say, “No Way!” to, but refuse to check out the biblical references that are provided. Over 65 years ago, the Orthodox & Conservative rabbis even denied His existence. (About the same time that they pooh-pooh Reformed Judaism, which is still around. Years later these same rabbis called Yeshua a Prophet, but not the Messiah. (It took a while, but at least they started to peek out of their blinder.)

Messianic Judaism does not refer to the cross other than to call it a tree, because we worship a Risen, Living God, a part of the Trilogy of the God Head, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit which is the Lord living in us. Contrary to popular belief, Yeshua was not born in a stable or manger but in a cave, which is where the animals were kept. He was not born on Christmas Day. This was a day declared by the Roman Emperor & Pope, Constantine. It is as good a day to celebrate it for Christians as any other, but because we do not know the exact date, as Messianic Jews, we do not celebrate it. Also biblically, as shown in the modern calendar the Sabbath is from Friday at Sundown through Saturday at sundown.  Also Resurrection Day does not necessarily fall on Easter Sunday, (another of Constantine’s edicts.) We celebrate all of the Sabbaths and Holy Days according to the Jewish calendar, which is governed by the phases of the moon. (lunar calendar) Thus Resurrection Day can fall on any given day of the week following Passover**********(more data)

Facts as I know them:

Yeshua was and is a Jew. The Jewish people are the apple of God’s eye, even though throughout the bible they disobeyed God, He would always forgive them & give theme more chances. Any Christian, who thinks otherwise needs to read through both Testaments. Just like your own child that may have done bad things. You wouldn’t disown them

First, both Covenants were written through God’s instructions to the Jew by Jews. In the New Covenant the Gentiles would be grafted in to God’s Tree of Life.

Following Yeshua’s death, Messianic Judaism evolved and was called “The Way.” It not only included Jews, but Gentile as well, whose previous belief had been to worship idols or pagan gods. Eventually they far outnumbered the Jewish Believeras and that was the beginning of Christianity. Those Jews who still believed would wind up worshiping in the church. Messianic Judaism reared up again in the late 1800s but didn’t really evolve until around the 1970s into where it is today and growing steadily all over the world.

Here are some other prime examples: Although I won’t quote you chapter and verse, If you’re curious or just want to prove me wrong, look them up on Google!

In the Old Covenant, God said that the only way to forgive sin was through a blood sacrifice. With the temple destroyed, there was no place to do this anymore, but Yeshua was the only perfect lamb who led a sin free life and His sacrifice would cleans the sins of those who believed in Him and received Salvation to absolve their sins.

Most everything that was foretold in the Tenach, (Which God gave to his Jewish Prophets after the Torah), was fulfilled and was written down through God’s input by Yeshua’s dispels in the New Covenant. The ones that weren’t fulfilled will be when the Lord returns.

If I’ve got your attention read Jeremiah, , Isaiah, Micah, Hosea, Joel Daniel and others in the Tenach  as well as some references in the Torah to see these foretelling of these prophesies.

After all that I’ve just written, either you’ll check this out or try to disprove it to me. Either way I’d like to have a dialog with you through my blog comments or my website. Blessings in Yeshua, Joel

THE PASSOVER LAMB

THE PASSOVER LAMB

You all know the story about when Moses
Told Egypt's pharaoh to let God's people go
And because he had a very hardened heart
Pharaoh's responded with a resounding no

So God brought many plagues upon Egypt but
Pharaoh would not yield until the very last one
After ordering all of the Jewish first born slain
God did the exact same thing to pharaoh's son

Again after saying "go", he changed his mind
Commanding his army to kill all that would flee
God parted the water and they went safely across but
Pharaoh's army was swallowed up by the raging sea

God commanded the Jew to observe Passover each year
Years later Yeshua came so that we could know Salvation
And at a Passover Seder which was to be His very last meal
This is what the Lord said to His disciples in conversation,

“Eat of this matzo for it is My body that will be broken.
Drink of this wine for  it symbolizes the blood I will shed.
My life will be forfeit so that My Father forgives all sin
Both turbulence and joy will you see in the years ahead.”

This is the very reason that we celebrate Communion
Remembering the Lamb of God and the fate He met
And why all believers tell of that fateful day
During Passover so that we will never forget

The day is coming when the Lord will return to earth
I believe that we are a part of this end time generation
Those who are lifted up and pass through heaven's gates
Have been bestowed with the Lord God's Eternal Salvation

PRESS TO THE MARK

PRESS TO THE MARK

I know that my life is not over
Although much of my sight is gone
I put my trust in God and Yeshua
To guide me so that I can Carry on

I’m unable to do as much as I used to
But there are still things that I can do
I absolutely refuse to have a pity party
And just deal with all things that are new

Yeshua gave His life for me
So that in and through Him I can live
It’s because His Holy Spirit lives in me
That I’ve learned to receive as well as give

Thank you Lord for my Godly wife
Who picks me up when I may fall
With her support I’ll press to the mark
Until the day that I get Your final c

GRACE AND MERCY ARE IN GOD'S HANDS

GRACE AND MERCY ARE IN GOD’S HANDS

I learned something new the other day
Something that I knew but didn’t see
Or perhaps I saw it but didn’t believe
If that was the case then shame on me

The incident I’m referring to is healing
I questioned whether I could be healed
This way of thinking was so very wrong
I didn’t see that my fate was already sealed

For when Yeshua said that by His Stripes
The Believers are healed once and for all
We must think that way in all situations
Even after the Lord gives us that final call

Forgive me Lord for ever doubting Your Word
It was satan that put this thought on my mind
Now I know Your Truth and it has set me free
Allowing me to leave negative thoughts behind

WHAT MAKES YOU TICK

WHAT MAKES YOU TICK

Have you ever thought about your body parts
And why they do some of the things they do
There’s a very simple explanation out there
But in actuality it’s not even about you

You see you were made in God’s image
Every part is where it’s supposed to be
And other parts play an important role
Connecting places that you can’t even see

Every single one has a specific function
It may be to see feel hear smell or taste
God even provided a couple of parts to
Help you get rid of unnecessary waste

At times you have problems with the parts
It might have even been caused by you
A couple of prominent examples of this are
What you eat and lack of exercising you do

There’s one thing that we don’t have power over
It’s when things go wrong that we can’t control
The natural aging process is one of many causes
It’s God’s eventual right and claim to your Soul

So thank Him for all of the good parts
Don’t fret over those that you can’t see
Either way it’s all in God’s Hands and
One day you’ll be totally sickness free

GETTING GOD'S WORD OUT

GETTING GOD’S WORD OUT

Getting God’s Word out to the world
Has not been the easiest thing to do
I do my part as one of God’s vessels
Going the rest of the way is up to you

Whenever you profess Yeshua as Messiah
You’re not spouting any meaningless word
Like me you are a vessel in your own way
To spread God’s Good News to be heard

Perhaps you’re not adept at doing this just yet
That’s where other vessels such as me stand in
You can lead them to me or others you know
To help rid the ungodly of the world of sin

The reason that the Lord wants so many vessels
Is not because He cannot do this all on His own
God wants to show the blessing of His Salvation
Through you so His truth and love may be known

Show them through the Old and New Covenants
One which leads into the fulfillment of the other
This is one of many ways that God shows us how
We’re connected as a Spiritual Sister and Brother

Here is another suggestion that you may want to use
If you’re trying to lead others to Salvation in the Lord
It will show them the faith and the strength that we have
And that those who believe are of one Spiritual accord

Every one of us is a child of God’s Creation
Through Him you can trace your family tree
Profess your love to Father God who made you
Then you will know God’s Truth that set you free

DEALING WITH FRUSTRATION

DEALING WITH FRUSTRATION

Have you ever had one of those days
When everything that could goes wrong
It may just start with something small
Like constantly singing the same song

Then you go to get on the computer and
The server has changed things around
You keep trying to get into your email
But sadly it’s nowhere to be found

So you decide to take out the daily trash
The bag is overflowing and it’s very heavy
It tears and everything falls all over the place
And your clothes get covered with gravy

Finally when you get the mess cleaned up
You open the door and the dog escapes
It makes you wonder what else could go wrong
So far your day has been filled with sour grapes

That’s the time when you need to pause
You need to take one giant step back
If the rest of the day continues like this
It’s just liable to cause a heart attack

Instead of fretting about all that’s happened
There is something else that you can do
Just turn these frustrations over to the Lord
And then you can start the day anew

The Lord will bear your burden
By yourself you can’t fix the mess
Move on with the rest of the day
And God will take care of the rest

Stay calm and go about your business
It’s amazing how it will all work out
All because you let go and let God
That’s really what it’s all about

THE HOME

THE HOME

The home that you reside in now
Is just as much a House of Prayer
I know this to be an undisputable fact
Because God’s Presence is everywhere

It reflects so many of the aspects about you
It says who you are and good things you do
Like cleanliness which is next to Godliness
And reading from both of the Covenants too

You don’t have the need of a prayer closet
Particularly when someone else is around
You communicate though God’s Holy Spirit because
As one of His Children you’re on Spiritual Ground

Perhaps if you feel the same way that I do about the Lord
Put objects of faith in the home that show Him Reverence
Even though God already knows how much you love Him
His love is manifest to you in the power of an ever presence

The last thing that I’d say about when you’re home
Is to be thankful in all your ways for goodness sake
God sees you at both your best and at your worst
He knows your moral character asleep or awake

A CONVERSATION WITH MYSELF

A CONVERSATION WITH MYSELF?

I often ponder what’s going through viewer’s minds
It'’s really something that I’m unable to comprehend
I’ve ask them to respond to what I’ve written and
It’s a one way dialog with no one on the other end

So I’m putting it out there ask for the umpteenth time
Will you respond with a simple or complex explanation
Although it’s something that I’m unable to understand
This problen won’t ever cause writer’s block frustration

I 'd like to create some sort of dialogue with my readers
To see if what I’ve written can or has helped in any way
The one thing about the responses that I do get is that
I know it helps to keep me on the lord's path every day
