WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET

Once upon a time,
In a land far far away
‘Twas told of a fairy tale
From another day

There was a beautiful princess
Very lonely and truly sad
And as she sat by the castle pond,
She saw a frog on a lily pad.

And to her amazement
He spoke without a wince
Saying, "If you’ll bend down and kiss me,
I’ll turn into a handsome prince."

The princess pondered what to do
As she sat there on a log
Then she bent down and kissed him
And alas, she turned into a frog

The moral of this fairy tale
That she surely did regret
Don’t wish for things that cannot be
For what you see is what you get

ARE YOU WAITING ON THE ROAD

ARE YOU WAITING ON THE ROAD

Only God knows the reason that
He gave me the gift to write spiritual poetry
It is not for me to question why
But to share it with those who would like to see

He chose this avenue to be my ministry
Blessing these words that I can share
Bringing both pleasure and enlightenment
To some and to others who do not care

I am just one of the many of God’s vessels
That He uses to bring lost sheep into His flock
So that they would get to know Messiah
And in doing so stand steadfast on the rock

What a blessing and a joy it is to know the truth
That one day all of the world will be free from strife
When Yeshua breaks through Jerusalem’s eastern sky
And that we will become one with God for eternal life

A SMILE'S REWARD

A smile is such a pleasant thing
It says exactly who you are
Frowning on the other hand
Will not get you very far

Laughter is the best medicine
Beating tension fear and strife
Although not proven medically
It seems to give us a longer life

God wands us to be happy
Verses in the bible tell us so
We are told to spread love and joy
Until God says that it’s our time to go

So fill your life with lots of laughter
Sometime it may even hurt to smile
Seek peace on earth good will toward men
You’ll see that it pays to walk that extra mile

A TRUE CHRISTMAS

This next poem was written for my Christian Brothers and Sisters because I love and respect them. As Messianic Jews however, we do not celebrate December 25th as the Lord’s birth date because we don’t actually know the day or month.

A TRUE CHRISTMAS

Once again it’s that time of year
When Christmas comes at last
We celebrate with family and friends
And ageless memories of the past

It is a joyous time of the year when
Carolers sing and shopping’s in season
But we all need to remember
The true meaning and the reason

This is the day that we celebrate
The birth of the Messiah of all mankind
Those who just think of it commercially
Must surely be Spiritually blind

The blood that Jesus shed cleansed all of sin
For He was the Father’s unblemished lamb
And only by professing our faith in Him
Will we get to be with the Great I Am

When we gather together on this special day
Let us pray that next year we’ll meet again
Give thanks to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords
And to this all of God’s people say, "Amen"
