A VETERAN’S MEMORIAL DAY POEM

A SPECIAL TRIBUTE TO ALL OF THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO SERVE OR HAVE SERVED IN THE ARMED FORCES OF THE UNITED STATES, AS WELL AS THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES DEFENDING OUR COUNTRY’S FREEDOM.

Three cheers and a rousing round of applause
To those who serve or have served our country
Especially those who gave their lives knowing
That protecting our Godly value did not come free

In God we trust is the motto of this land
The principle to do what is just and right
These brave young souls have and will continue
To defend this privilege through the day and night

So let us take time out on this day of remembrance to pause
And pray for those who have served and those who still do
And honor those who paid the price with their lives
To protect and defend the liberties of me and you

Also pray for the peace of Jerusalem
The Holy city of our God and Lord
That one day soon we will see His return
When all who believe are of one accord
