A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FOR MY GENTILE BROTHERS AND SISTERS

A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FOR MY GENTILE
BROTHERS AND SISTERS

You celebrate the Lord’s birthday
On the twenty fifth of December
This date was set by Constantine
But it’s an awesome day to remember

The four things that I wish you
Are joy happiness peace and love
It’s the same wish from Our Savior
Who is the Lord in heaven above

I also pray for one more thing that the church
Would celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday
For God created the world in six days
On the seventh He Rested on that day

There are many things in the bible
Not celebrated by the church today
Perhaps in time they’ll see the light
Before Messiah Comes Back one day

With all that gotten off my chest
There’s one more thing I need to say
Praise the Lord and Worship Him
And have a Merry Christmas Day

SHABBAT

SHABBAT

In six days God created all
On the seventh He did proclaim,
"The Sabbath would be a day of rest"
And commanded us to do the same

From the setting of the sun on Friday
Through the same time Saturday
Is the holiest of all God's days
A time set apart to rest and pray

At this time we come together
In a sanctuary beneath His covering
And God's presence can be felt
Indwelling and protectively hovering

From the kindling of the Sabbath candles
To The Aaronic benediction
This ritual is observed by Jews worldwide
With just one contradiction

Messianic Jews and Gentiles worship together
And God's truth is what is known
That our Messiah the Son of God
Came once and will return to bring us home

To this end we bless and praise God and Yeshua
And although They are one Trinity
For when you accept God's Son as Messiah
His Holy Spirit lives within you and me

As the sunset ends the seventh day
It marks the beginning of another week
Keep the Lord in your heart and mind
For through our faith it is Him we seek

If God grants us another breath or day
We pray that we make it to our next Sabbath eve
Go forth and spread the gospel of our Lord
To all the lost souls who still do not believe

In the end there is but one way
To be with God for your final rest
You must profess Yeshua as Messiah and
The gates will open you've passed the test

THE HEALING

THE HEALING

For years I was highly medicated
I had taking pill after pill after pill
I was baffled why there were so many
Not knowing what made me so very ill

I did not have a strong belief in God
Then a friend said that I should pray
And come to a Messianic Healing Service
It just so happens that there is one today

While I was waiting for my turn
I felt a presence come over me
It felt like I had been consumed
By something that I couldn't see

When the rabbi laid his hands on me
I knew exactly what I had been feeling
The Holy Spirit of God had consumed me and
Told me that there was about to be a healing

This miracle that God had performed
For I’m now free of many pills and pain
He’s given me an entirely new outlook
I'll never doubt the Lord my God again

The Son of God gave His Life for me
He said that by His Stripes I'd heal
I thank the Lord for this awakening
Now I serve Him with zest and zeal

EACH BREATH I TAKE

EACH BREATH I TAKE

I thank the Lord for every breath I take
For only God knows when all life ends
It may come when you are young or old
What's is in His plans well it all depends

Perhaps He will give you a longer life
That enables you to minister His Word
Maybe you have yet to accept the Lord and
Years may go by before His Truth is heard

He may call a baby or a youth to glory
Their families distraught and full of pain
But God has a higher purpose for them
In time they'll see their loved once again

No matter how much time you have left on earth
Pray to and Praise and glorify our God and King
Obey whatever the Lord God may ask you to do
To understand that abiding in Him is everything

Then when by the Grace of God He calls you
And He says that it's time to end your years
Yeshua will bring you to His Father's House
Your answered prayer filled with joyful tears

THIRD ANNIVERSARY

Today is the third anniversary of the passing of my husband, Joel Steinhauer.

He is the author of all the poetry posted here.

I'm doing my best to continue posting more of his poetry weekly if possible.

May the Lord continue to bless you and use these poems to uplift and teach each of you!

THE WRESTLER

      THE WRESTLER

A few years ago I met a very talented student
He had joined the high school wrestling squad
He won every single match that he competed in
What he was lacking was a relationship with God

He was so skilled in this sport that
People saw him as the best around
He spotted his opponent's weakness and
Then proceeded to pin them to the ground

He went to the state finals and was defeated
But he learned a valuable lesson on that day
He accepted his Jewish Messiah and was humbled
He knew that win or lose God was in his life to stay

THE NUMBER ONE PRIORY

THE NUMBER ONE PRIORY

God does works in many different ways
That you and I will never understand
But we know Him through the Holy Spirit and
We know that our future has been pre-planned

We also know that God's Son paid the ultimate price
So as Believers in Messiah our sins are washed away
It doesn't mean that we don't have to ask forgiveness
For sins that we commit or are not aware of each day

Don't judge others because we too will be judged
Avoid offensive things that we know are wrong
Our rabbi has minister on this so many many times
By act accordingly our faith will always stay strong

Stop making excuses for not coming to Shabbat services
Like it's too far or my Kids need to be driven to a game
We know that if we're too busy for God we're just too busy
When we think about it these excuses are really very lame

Serving God always should be
Our very first one priority
He controls every facet of our lives because
His Word is always will be the final authority

A good example about what I mean
Is at your daughter's ballet practice session
She takes a spill and is unable to dance at her recital
Don't you think God is trying to teach you a lesson

If your priorities had been in the right order
The Lord would surely have let you know
Her recital would have been a huge success
Her performance the highlight of the show`

Or perhaps your son allowed the winning to score
I'm pretty sure that both of you would be very sad
If you had lined yourself up with the word of G-d
Instead his winning hit would have made you glad

By now I hope that I have gotten my point across
The order of life's priority is G-d family then you
Ask His forgiveness and He will see that you know
As a believer you know that it's the right thing to do
