What resolutions will you make in

The New Year that’s coming soon

How many will you actually keep and

Which ones will you be breaking soon

Here are a few of the ones you’ll make

Many of them I’m sure you’ll break

Why even make them in the first place

So many of them were a big mistake

Each year you say you’re going on a diet

Obviously because you need to lose weight

If you really want to keep this resolution

Try putting smaller portions on your plate

Exercising will probably be the next one

Moaning and groaning and saying, “Ouch!”

If you really want it to happen the right way

Put down the remote and get off the couch

Of course you need to do things for your spouse

Clean up your messes and take the garbage out

Don’t forget the birthdays and anniversaries

That’s really what relationships are all about

These are the ones that you may or may not keep

The real important resolutions I’ve yet to list

They are ones that should never be broken

Yet breaking them may be hard for some to resist

First of course is to love the Lord your God

Love your neighbor as yourself is number two

What you give will come back as a blessing

From those who will do the same for you

Many people may not even know the Messiah

Without this blessing they’re not heaven bound

Profess Yeshua as Lord asking forgiveness of sin

Or the direction you’ll go is hell under ground

Once you do resolve to profess Him as Messiah

The blessings will be much more than you know

Life on the earth will never be the same as it was

As the Holy Spirit helps you to continue to grow

You may never need to make another resolution

God knows you love Him and have passed His test

Always give your hopes and prayers to the Lord

I promise you that He will take care of the rest

We know the date that Yeshua’s birth is celebrated

The church in Rome decided on this particular day

It had nothing to do with the Messiah’s actual birth

It was instituted by them to make paganism go away

Not one person knew the exact date of Yeshua’s birth

So I guess this day to celebrate was as good as any

What’s important here is the fact that He was born

To be loved, revered and Deified by so very many

And as the very famous saying goes,

“Yeshua is the reason for the season.”

Those who deny Him will be condemned

To the dark pit of hell for eternal treason

But if you love and revere Him as Lord

He will surely return that love to you

Make Yeshua an integrated part of your life and

He’ll influence everything that you think say and do

Yeshua is an integral part of God’s eternal plan

In the Tri-Unity of the Holy Spirit Father and Son

So we accept this day even though it was chosen by man

To celebrate Messiah’s birth and the victory that He won

This title may sound somewhat familiar

It’s most likely you’re thinking about

The jolly old  man with the white beard

No but I’m about to let the secret out

Who am I talking about Virginia

He is the Messiah the King of Kings

Who gave His life to absolver your sins

It is the blessing that Salvation brings

What’s that you say you can’t see Him

Well I’ll tell you exactly how it’s done

With blind faith as small as a mustard seed

You’ll just believe that He’s God’s Son

Remember all the gifts that Santa brought you

Well Yeshua has wonderful gifts for you too

First when you believe there is eternal life and

A mansion to store the good works that you do

There’s an even greater gift that awaits you

Where there will be no more sickness or pain

You’ll be with Yeshua and Father God forever

Your choice is a hell to shun or a heaven to gain

You say that you professed and asked His forgiveness

Now go tell others Messiah is the Truth Light and Way

I want to thank all of my readers in the 52 countries that the Lord has allowed me to be viewed in and Lord willing, I will continue to provide poetry  to all of you through the power of God's Holy Spirit for as long as He chooses to bless me. That being said, in truth the real credit belongs to the Lord.
     Thank you Lord for the blessings of this and every day. Thank You for who You are, all that You do, all that You've done and for the things that wee don't even know that You're going to do. You are AWESOME and I am truly blessed.

NOURISHMENT

Thank you Lord for the nourishment

That you sustain me with each day

Not just for the food that I consume

But for Your word which is here to stay

Also for the words that You provide

Through the Holy Spirit that I write

One more way for all those who need to see

The Glory and Majesty of Your Shining Light

Lord as long as You see fit to grant me

The ability to write of who You are

I will be Your obedient and faithful servant

To all of Your lost sheep both near and far

Whether the words are for joy or comfort

I will minister Your word that’s true

I pray that all who read these words

Will share the blessing of knowing You

In the Holy Bible which is Your Word it says

That to be with You in heaven we must profess

Your Son who gave His life to absolve our sins

It is the only key to eternal life and happiness

In Your Kingdom there are many mansions

For believers whose life on earth has ended
