YOUR WALK WITH GOD

Where are you in your walk with god
Do you walk with Him all day long
In prayer in deeds and your attitude
If not your walk with Him is wrong

We are zealous over many things
In our jobs hobbies and in sports
Somehow being that way for God
Just seems to put us out of sorts

Messiah sacrificed His life for us
To absolve sin and bring salvation
Be zealous when you spread God's word although
You may encounter anger disbelief and frustration

You cannot fathom the pain that Yeshua endured
And you couldn't do the same would be my guess
You need to stand for the Lord and get convicted
For it is you that the Lord our G-d wants to bless

The ultimate reward is very simple
So when you see Yeshua face to face
By what you've thought said and done in His Name
You will know that you have received God's Grace

Now isn't that worth the extra effort
It beats the alternative you must agree
By your actions deeds and the word of God
Multitudes will know the truth and be set free

SELFLESSNESS

SELFLESSNESS

It's better to give than to receive
I've always lived my life that way
Putting off my priorities for others
I can do my things on another day

Unfortunately not everyone is like that though
And if your needs should stem from a disability
When someone does things differently just understand
That your needs may not be their number one priority

My prayer is that these people see the light
And change their ways before it is too late
By putting their I and me priorities aside
I somehow believe that they won't hesitate

But should they continue on their own path
The Lord still walks with them all the way
Then over time the message will begin to sink in
That they need to practice selflessness every day

THANKSGIVING

THANKSGIVIN

We’ll be spending our Thanksgiving
By driving over to Grandma’s house
Not a soul will go hungry
Not even a little mouse

She started preparing
On the night before
If there was anything missing
She sent Grandpa to the store

Everything must be perfect
On this day you see
For it isn’t very often
That we gather as a family

After a long trip we arrive there
The first thing we do is turn on the TV
To watch the Thanksgiving Day parade
There are marching bands and floats to see

Before we begin eating
We hold hands and pray
Thank you Lord for the blessings
That you have given us this day

And we also pray a special blessing for
The men and women who protect our liberty
Please God keep them safe from harm
They understand that freedom isn’t free

Then Grandpa says, “ Let’s eat I’m starving.”
The first thing on the menu is soup in a cup
In the background we listen to Holiday music
This always helps us to keeps our sprits up

Uncle Charlie carves the turkey and
Asks if we want dark meat or white
And even with this many people
There will be plenty to take home tonight

Pass the gravy and the rolls please
The peas and sweet potatoes too
The cornbread stuffing is delicious
And may I have some apple cider too

When we finish with the main course
The women will help to put things away
While the men go and watch a football game
Actually there are several of them on TV today

Once everything else has been cleaned up
Grandma serves coffee and pumpkin pie
All of a sudden it feels like we’re stuffed
For same strange reason we wonder why

Before we head back to our homes
There are still two things to be done
First we help to set up the Christmas tree
Then we join hands and thank the Holy One

Thank you Lord for the blessings of this special day
We ask for traveling mercies and Your Grace again
May all of our hearts be filled with Your goodness
And to this prayer all of Your children say, “AMEN.”

CLUTTER

Clutter

We’ve accumulated so much clutter
That we’re not sure where to put it all
It always takes up so much space
That sometimes it causes us to trip and fall

That’s just the things that we keep year after year
There is so much mail and it’s mostly junk
That we tend to misplace what’s important
Which often puts us in a funk

What’s the answer to this dilemma
I really haven’t found one yet
So I’ll just let nature take its course
Because it doesn’t do any good to fret

NEW BEGINNINGS-AN ED TIME RETREAT

NEW BEGINNINGS-AN END TIME RETREAT

The Holy Spirit has drawn us together
To attend our annual men's retreat
Our focus is to worship and praise the Lord
His Glory will lead to satan's ultimate defeat

There may be other reasons for attending
Such as the Spiritual bonding of Godly men
Or the need to re-connect with their Jewish roots
To bring them back to our Messiah's path again

The strong presence of Yeshua can be felt here
Our Messiah gave His life so that we would see
That His sacrifice cleansed us of our sins forever
By believing in Him as Lord it would set us free

Another way that we are blessed is to hear God's Word from a
Spiritual leader who daily exalts the Lord in prayer and praise
Just one more sign of the impending return of our Messiah
Confirming that we're somewhere in the end of end days

When this fulfilling retreat comes to a close
Each one of us will go forth with one ultimate goal
Spreading the word of Good News in Messiah Yeshua
To both Jew and Gentile that will render them whole

THE CALLING

THE CALLING

God has a calling for all of His children
Yet many don’t know what it is or why
For me it didn’t come until I knew Messiah
I was called to do more from His throne on high

He has returned my gift of writing
Spiritual poetry that makes people think
Both believers and those who need to know
How God through the Triad is our true link

Besides my poetry the way that I do this is
To fellowship with my Christian sisters and brothers
In churches or wherever god leads me to them
Explain their Jewish roots to pass on to others

Still there are some questions that I can’t answer
I give them our outreach ministry’s card to call
That will teach of their Jewish roots in Messiah
To church groups no matter how large or small

Whether you are a Jew or a Gentile
What calling has God given you
If you don’t know ask Him in prayer
He’ll reveal what He wants you to do

JERUSALEM SHALOM

JERUSALEM SHALOM

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem
The city that God chose as His own
Although it has been in many hands
One day He will sit there on His throne

Since the dawn of the Lord’s creation
God’s word spread throughout the earth
He chose Israel to be His people
Yet they didn’t always know its worth

In obedience they were very good
Yet man times they would disobey
Their faith in God would always bless them or
Lead them into captivity when they would stray

Throughout history they would waver
Between going back to God and not
So God decided to make a change
Which would impact the world a lot

God sent His Son to spread His word
Knowing that Yeshua would be killed
Sin was absolved for all who believed in Him
On the day that Messiah’s blood was spilled

When Yeshua returns to rule the earth
His kingdom will span a thousand years
In the city which God chose as His own
His rule will erase all doubts and fears

The fig tree is God’s tree of life for the Jew
As well as the Gentles who were grafted in
God blesses them and heaps curses
Upon those who are wallowing in sin

But if the sinner will repent God will bless them also
It must happen before the day of the Lord’s return
A choice between eternal shalom in heaven
Or into satan’s pit of hell to eternally burn

WHICH CAME FIRST

WHICH CAME FIRST

I‘ve often wondered which came first
Was it the chicken or the egg
This question seems to happen when
I’m munching on a chicken leg

Or when I’m eating eggs for breakfast
I wonder if it could be the other way
I’ll contemplate this at another meal
Because I’ve eaten much too much today
